Wedding Wednesday

I hinted in my Weekend Recap post that I purchased a veil. It's this gorgeous blusher from David's Bridal and it was only $24.00! I choose Ivory to match my dress. It's decorated with a few scattered crystals.

Even though I LOVE it, I'm thinking I want to spruce it up a bit more: add a brooch, maybe a flower. Even though feathers are a huge trend with the blusher veils, I'm not a fan of the look. Here is some of my pinspiration!

Ideas on where to buy something similar to these cute accessories, for cheap?

Bachelor Pick of the Week

This week, some of the guys I thought had the most potential with Des didn't really stand out... or even stick around. Chris was meh, Michael G. was disappointingly way over aggressive and kind of annoying, and we said goodbye to Bryden. We also said BUH-BYE to Ben, but he was never one of the "good ones" in my mind anyway. At least my favorite got the date rose! My pick again this week is...

Weekend Recap

The weekend was filled with awesomeness! Friday night, future hubby and I ate at our favorite Mexican restaurante.

Saturday and Sunday were spent with my (preggo) best friend! We had a fab time lounging by the pool and catching up on all things baby and wedding. She's busy planning a Gender Reveal Party (she finds out TODAY!) next weekend while I'm busy planning (of course) my wedding, so we both chipped in and helped each other check some things off the to-do lists.

I have to say, helping her plan has me pretty psyched to one day plan a party of my own. Pinterest has so many adorable ideas for decorations, games, and the Big Reveal. Here are some cute ideas I'm dying to pin (but won't for fear that people will think I'm getting WAY ahead of myself!):

We spent Sunday running around getting little things for my wedding. Hint: flower girl and ring bearer... and maybe a veil? I'll post more on Wednesday!

How was your weekend?

What is your favorite store to shop at?

Tie between these two:

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

Must have closet staple?

Cardigans. I guess I'm a typical librarian after all!

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)

Flats. (a) Because I feel too dressy if I wear heels or wedges at my workplace or in most of my day-to-day life and (b) The future hubby is two, maybe three, inches taller than me, I don't like to tower over him.

I can't remember what store ran the sale, but I'll never forget it - buy 1, get 1 for a penny. Yup, purchase one full price item (which wasn't very expensive to begin with) and get another full price item for $0.01!

Style you’d love to try?

Hi-lo.

Wedding Wednesday

I purchased this adorable rustic wood slice chalkboard for $13.99 (51% off) from Very Jane last week. It's originally sold by the Etsy shop Eastern Trend.

I have been pinning up a storm of ideas for using this cute lil' board for our engagement photos and at our wedding reception.

For the reception:

I haven't found many pins where the couple are actually holding wood slice chalkboards, but these are inspirational anyhow! For our photos:

Which idea is your favorite?

Bachelor Pick of the Week

This week I'm choosing someone I've already picked! He cracked me up in the Mr. America competition and nothing is more attractive then a guy who can laugh at himself and doesn't take himself too seriously! His goofy personality, down-to-earth nature, and compatibility with Des made him my pick this time. Who knows, at this rate, he could quickly be becoming my favorite. The "meat head" guys (not naming names) especially this week were not doing it for me. Des needs to kick some of them to the curb! My choice this week is...
